The school has always had a healthy tradition of participating in and hosting local sports events and tournaments. Our bid for Activemark Gold was part of an overall strategy to keep pupils active, fit and healthy. The P.E. co-ordinator at the time, Mrs Stanford, worked closely with Lostock High School to extend and enhance sporting activities. Commitment of the Head, the co-ordinator and the staff has led to healthier lifestyles for many of our children, who may not have had such opportunities otherwise.
